Based in Hamburg – but still a true Italian: Agatino Testa comes from the beautiful city of Catania in Sicily. The Italian lifestyle and passion for the easy life, as well as a love of music, have accompanied him throughout his whole life. Always driven by ambition, it looked as if he would become a successful professional footballer. With stints as a young professional at ‘HSV’ and the Italian club ‘Calcio Catania’, he was already well on his way until an injury thwarted his plans. What looked like a bitter setback, Agatino saw as an opportunity to devote himself even more to his equally great love – Electronic Music! Already at the age of 17, he began producing music in his parents’ basement and learning how to DJ.
Since then, Agatino has successfully released several tracks on well-known labels such as
Sony Music, Mentalo and Minute to Midnight (Hexagon), played on numerous stages, clubs and festivals and has been able to build up a considerable fan base over the years. With his latest HIT “PEDRO”, which reached over 130 million streams in less than 2 months, Agatino landed number #1 in the viral Spotify charts in countries such as Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Sweden and Norway. Agatino even took the number #1 spot on “Viral Global” with his song “PEDRO”.
